History
Founded in 1963 as the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy (ICM) – Plovdiv.
The main mission of the institute was focused on scientific research and technical development in the extraction and processing of non-ferrous metals.
The key fields of work at the time included: physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, and structural analysis.
The institute’s design department aimed to bring the institute’s developments to fully functional projects and to support their successful implementation in factories across the country.
Icm today
The plant has been renovated to meet the growing demand for high-purity semiconductor materials used in modern electronics, photovoltaics, and optoelectronics.
Our team combines scientific expertise, engineering experience, and innovative technologies to deliver high-quality and reliable products to the global market.
Today, ICM is one of the few manufacturers of gallium phosphide (GaP) in Eastern Europe.
